Cozy Couple Session

I had such blast hanging out with Gretchen + Shane on this snowy Super Bowl Sunday. I showed up and realized they have the cutest little puppy. You guys know how much I love a good in-home session with a dog involved! He wouldn’t stop jumping up in front of my lens and it was the cutest, funniest thing! I wish I got a shot of him LITERALLY jumping in front of my lens but he was too quick!

Anyways, Gretchen + Shane were so open to any ideas I had and it totally paid off. They snuggled up in the living room, kitchen and then we headed to the bed room (Don’t be a creep! They just had a pillow fight) Gretchen got Shane with the first blow and I have to admit, I couldn’t stop laughing! From there we moved back to the living room for a dance off and Gretchen was killing me with her ‘floss’! Then we went on the balcony while the snow was falling and it was pretty romantic. They kept each other warm and it was so intimate and sweet(I feel so honored to be trusted to capture moments like that). THEN, we went back inside for the two them to enjoy a quick make out sesh before I headed out.

We got such variety of photos and it was honestly the funnest part of my day. Let’s be real, other than the booze and nachos, I couldn’t care less about the Super Bowl! So, Enjoy these cuties having a blast cause I sure did!

In - Home Hangs

Janelle and Beau were SO fun to meet!

I showed up to their apartment excited because Janelle and I talked about them making drinks and a cheese board. Let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! Beau made drinks for everyone as I pet their sweet dog (and that’s enough to capture my heart right there). Beau handed me that little glass of the first old-fashioned I had ever liked up to that point and well, lets just say a good drink brings people together!

I felt an instant connection with these two and that had a huge part in the photos being some of my favorite to date! These in-home vibes are what my cozy dreams are made of and if you think that’s weird, well, see for yourself!

I loved that Janelle and Beau weren’t afraid to get a little vulnerable and make out in front of me and get nice and cozy in bed together while I stood above them snapping away!

Cheers to ALL the in-home sessions and doggy cuddles!

Cliffside Elopement

November 2, 2018

I loved shooting this elopement session with these two! They braved the crazy cold wind to hike up to a gorgeous cliff, and it was epic!

It was so cold and windy that day that half the time we were trying not to get blown over! The other half we were making magic! The view on top go the cliff was crazy and made me feel like we were on the set of some epic adventure movie!

Honestly, the wind totally spoke to my heart! I know that most people would prefer the wind to simmer down while shooting, but not me! I often find myself BEGGING for the wind to blow harder. I want movement and mood in my photos and this day was like a dream come true! The wind would not quit and as cold as it was, I don’t think anyone was mad about it!

Also, that wedding dress!!! Lea-Ann Belter Bridal NEVER disappoints! This gown is from their Astrid and Mercedes collection and with the wind, and the low front and back it stole my heart! We threw a leather/sherpa jacket over it to add a little edge and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! I love the idea of adding edge or something personal and original to your wedding day ensemble. Traditional is good but unique is where my heart is!

So, enjoy these shots from this elopement styled shoot and day dream with me about all the windy, warm days!

Alyssa + Devin | Solo Point | June 2, 2018

Solo point boat launch was a total magical discovery. When planning this styled wedding shoot, I was on the hunt for the perfect location that would be romantic and adventurous. I found out about the location through Sable at Hello There Lovely Beauty.

The day started out a little rough as there was traffic so some of us were running late but it quickly turned around. As I walked up to the location with the models dressed in a Lea-Ann Belter Bridal gown and camera in hand, I was immediately blown away!

Rio had coordinated the whole tablescape and exceeded my expectations with the perfect boho accents to add to the shoot. Bailey with Love Fern Design blew it out of the park with her invitation suite with raw paper and the perfect summery peach colors!

And then there was Thomasi with Tiare Floral Design Studio! I sent Thomas just a few photos for inspiration and the vibe we were going for. He showed up with not one, not two, but THREE huge and beautiful bridal bouquets AND a floral crown! WHAT?! These florals completely exceeded my expectations and without them, I think the shoot would have been less than!

Also, the models! Alyssa is a close friend of mine and she convinced her husband, Devin, to come model for me! They were so fun and easy to work with and made the day totally worth it! They completely exceeded my expectations (AGAIN!) with modeling so well with no experience and totally pulling off the boho, moody vibes! They are so awesome, and I’m so glad I get to call them friends!

All-in-all this styled shoot was the perfect start to the summer left me feeling inspired and excited for all the things to come! Definitely count yourself blessed if you ever get the chance to work with any of these vendors. They were awesome! Also, yes, I know I said my mind was blown far too many times, but come on! these people pulled together to make magic and I’m in love! Check it out for yourself!
